What is AFTS?

The African Food and Trade Summit (AFTS) is an online platform that connects everyone in Africa's agriculture trade: farmers, aggregators, processors, buyers, logistics companies, investors, agripreneurs and landowners, so they can find each other and do business across the continent.

Is AFTS an event?

AFTS is an online platform, open all year round. You can list, search and connect whenever you need to, not just on a set date.

When does the platform launch?

We're preparing for launch now. Everyone who registers early hears from us first, with the date and help setting up their profile.

Does it cost anything to register?

Registering for early access is free. We'll share full details of how the platform works, including any fees, before launch.

Which countries can join?

AFTS is open to businesses and individuals in all 54 African countries. Buyers and investors based outside Africa who want to trade with or invest in African agriculture are welcome too.

What if I fit more than one role?

Choose the role that describes most of what you do. Tick "I'd like help from the AFTS team" and tell us the rest, and we'll set up your profile to match.

I'm with a cooperative, association or development organisation. Can I join?

Yes. Choose the role closest to your work, such as aggregator for a farmers' cooperative, and tell us more in the help box. We'd like to work with groups that support farmers and agribusinesses.

How do you know who's on the platform?

Our team reviews every profile before it goes live. We may contact you to confirm your details or your business.
